[ Our Mission ]
Sisters' Side is a resource guide for Muslim women to find a comfortable, accessible, and suitable space to pray. As an avid traveler, it was difficult to know beforehand if a masjid had a women's side or if it was even accessible.
The difficulties of finding an adequate space to pray sparked the idea for Sisters' Side. The goal of this platform is to help Muslim women find a space to worship without hindrance and build an empowered community of reviewers.

[ Your Input Matters ]
Find a Space To Worship Without Hindrance
Together, we can build a supportive community that empowers every sister to worship without hindrance.
Your insights ensure that every sister can find a place to worship with ease and confidence. You will provide insight on the following:
Does the masjid have a sisters' side?
Why is this important?

Unfortunately, not all masjids provide a dedicated space for women to pray. Knowing in advance whether a masjid has a sisters' side helps Muslim women plan their visits accordingly and ensures they'll have access to a welcoming and accommodating place to worship.
Does the masjid have a separate wudu area for women?
Why is this important?

Having a separate wudu area for women in a masjid is essential for privacy and comfort. It allows women to perform ablution in a secure and dignified space.
Talk to us about the cleanliness of the masjid.
Why is this important?

A clean and well-kept masjid enhances the spiritual experience and ensures a welcoming atmosphere for all worshippers. Maintaining cleanliness is also a fundamental aspect of Islamic teachings, as purity is directly tied to faith. Your review can help encourage better upkeep and hygiene standards.
Is the masjid entrance to the sisters' side wheelchair accessible?
Why is this important?

Ensuring that the masjid entrance to the sisters' side is wheelchair accessible is crucial for inclusivity and equal access to worship. A lack of accessibility can prevent elderly, disabled, or mobility-impaired individuals from attending prayers and community events. A wheelchair-friendly entrance, with ramps, elevators, or step-free access, allows all sisters to participate in congregational worship with ease and dignity. By asking this question, we help identify masjids that prioritize accessibility and inclusivity, making prayer spaces truly welcoming for everyone.
